This type of book is quite a ways out of my usual preferences, but I'm glad I read it. Jan Karon's narrative carries you along. Outstanding character development. Read and enjoy.

Tim without feeling like we are reading the same story, only different. He learns about old family secrets and about love.
It had been a while since I read them when Home to Holly Springs became available on Bookmooch, so I decided to give it a chance. By the time I finished the Mitford books, I had kind of overdosed on them.
Tim returns to his boyhood home and interacts with old friends and neighbors as well as some who never met him or his family. I'm glad I did.

I loved this book, fictional Father Tim always knows just what to do.THE RIGHT THING.Life isn't just about YOU or ME.It's all of us. Looking out for each other, couldn't help but think, if each of us could grab that idea and run with it.JUST IMAGINE, how the world would change.
I listened to this book while driving to New England and the miles seemed to melt away. Unlike many of the books on CD I have used, Home to Holly Springs was easy to follow, well written, and quite interesting. After reading the other books in the series, this one tied the whole story together.
